French Gastronomy Workshop! Erasmus+ #6

A French Gastronomy workshop is taking place as part of our continuing Erasmus+ Achieving Together projects – The sixth workshop in the series is in France, hosted by Ecole Michael.

The French workshop will take place from 6-12 June 2016, involving fifty pupils and their teachers from the 6 partner schools. The theme is gastronomy.

International Cuisine & Recipe Book

On arrival during the day and evening the guests will be welcomed. A visit to Strasbourg will take place on Tuesday morning, with the workshops starting on Tuesday afternoon. This will involve making international dishes and compiling a recipe book.

Gastronomy in Vosges

A class will accompany the group for the duration of the French gastronomy workshop. Three days will be devoted to the gastronomy of the local Vosges area. This is the third most wooded département in France and is an area of outstanding natural beauty with thermal springs, waterfalls and unspoilt flora. The pupils will forage for food and cook it. Pupils from classes 9 to 11 will accompany the groups.

Festivities in Strasbourg

On returning from Vosges on June 11th, there will be an evening of festivities to which parents and pupils will be invited. There will be presentations on what the groups have been involved in during the week, dancing and gastronomic delights to eat.

Our Erasmus+ projects continue until 2017. Read more about them here.
