Welcome to New Staff
I am Csaba Dolak, part of the faculty responsible for teaching the arts in the Upper School. Born in Hungary, after my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest I settled in England 17 years ago, where amongst various activities I attended the Waldorf Teacher Training Seminar in London, which heralded a new phase of my life.
My interest in anthroposophical ideas and exploring the possibilities which community living has to offer eventually led me, with my partner, Lisa and our two children Simeon (class 3) and Eszter (who finished her Waldorf education at Class 10 and now studies at Brockenhurst College), to Ringwood, where I’ve been living, learning and working in the Lantern Community since spring 2008. It is here that our youngest, Benjamin (Oak Kindergarten) was born in 2009.
Thanks to the Lantern I have come to experience the many benefits of community living with all its challenges. My task is to work within the cultural realm, especially focusing on the influences of artistic activities in a social setting, their effects on the individual and their community creating potential, aided by my present studies in ‘Arscura’, an initiative inspired by spiritual science working in the field of the arts, their application to healing and transformation.
Now I am presented with the opportunity to explore the sphere of the arts with adolescents and to learn from them.
