Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided today to cancel our international junior summer programme as published on our website and brochures. The COVID-19 lockdown has created many uncertainties for all of us. We are keen to watch the re-opening of schools here in the UK in June and to see how fast the social distancing restrictions are subsequently lifted - until we get back to the point where normal face-to-face teaching is practical.
Meanwhile, as an alternative, we are offering a range of online programmes for teenagers during the summer months. In addition to General English, there are film, culture, business and conversation-themed courses, all designed for an international junior audience. Please click on the link for more details.
Naturally, online learning does not offer all the benefits of an overseas study experience.  However, it does keep students in touch with the living language and provides them with the chance to make international ‘virtual’ friends.
So we now plan for summer 2021 and we very much hope you will join us in that venture.
Meanwhile, our warmest wishes to you all for a safe, relaxing (and quiet) summer!

Age range 12-17
We have teamed up again with Lewis School of English to offer an International Summer School. It is a small, intimate centre with a group of up to 75 students offering attractive facilities in an idyllic location – perfectly suited to the younger teenager. It is based at the Ringwood Waldorf School and offers purpose-built classrooms, a large theatre, gymnasium, workshops for dance, arts and crafts activities and access to nearby fields and forest.  We are located on the edge of Ringwood, a historic market town on the edge of the New Forest National Park.

Accommodation is provided mostly by parents at the school but also by other families and friends of the school.  This will give you the opportunity to live with an English family and experience their way of life.  Our aim is to place you in a family with children of a similar age – but please note that this may not always be possible.  Your family will provide breakfast and evening meals, do your washing and arrange to transport you to and from the school.  You will eat a hot lunch at school on weekdays and supper at school when there is an evening activity.

Not only will you be able to make friends with English students but you will also study English and socialise with other Waldorf Steiner school students from other countries! Prices have been discounted for Waldorf students. Please note not all our students will be from other Steiner schools.

This year we have 3 different programme types:
