On Monday 2nd March the Ringwood Waldorf School’s Change Campaign set off on an epic 20-mile sponsored walk from Hengistbury Head to Swanage to raise funds for the British Red Cross. The group chose this charity as they are at the forefront of giving aid and vital life-saving support where it is most needed across the globe, whether due to conflict or natural disasters.
After rather a wet winter, the sun was out and everyone had spring in their steps along the beautiful (and in parts muddy!) coastline.
The 20 miles were completed in 9 hours, and along the way the group was supported by strangers who gave words of encouragement, some kindly donating to the cause, and an unexpected (and very welcome!) ice cream delivery courtesy of Ash and Isla McMahon.
A big thank you to everyone who donated and supported the group’s efforts. So far on the GoFundMe we are close to reaching £1000.
The GoFundMe is live! You can still support the Change Campaign and help us reach our goal by donating here: https://gofund.me/a10331f20
Thank you!
