Opportunities for short and long term stays

A very warm welcome to Ringwood Waldorf School!

Living and studying overseas at a young age is a very rich and rewarding experience both for you and for your British classmates.  You will be fully integrated into our own classes of native English speaking children and together you will follow the Waldorf Steiner curriculum used worldwide.

Classes are small (15-20 on average) and have a caring, intimate and friendly atmosphere.  You will acquire proficiency and competence in the English language very naturally by virtue of being in close contact with English speaking people.  You will have regular welfare meetings with your tutor and staff members are always available to help and advise.

We offer a wide ranging curriculum including arts, crafts, drama, music, physical activities, maths, science, languages and much more……!.  It is a great environment to improve your English at your own speed and to help you, we offer EFL (English as a Foreign Language) lessons to all non-native speaker students. There are no compulsory formal exams, but there is an option to sit GCSE’s in maths and English in class 10.

Visiting students can attend Classes 6, 7 8, 9 10 & 12 and study for one, two or three academic terms.

Ringwood Waldorf School, is situated on the edge of the New Forest – a large National Park famous for its ponies and wildlife

The famous beaches of Bournemouth are 15 minutes away by car and the city of Southampton with its excellent shopping centre is 30 minutes away. The historic cities of Salisbury and Winchester are within a 45 minute drive. London Heathrow is 120 km or 90 minutes by road and Central London is two hours by direct bus.

You will stay with a selected host family, many (but not all) of whom have children at the school.    They will offer you full board accommodation and a warm homely atmosphere during your stay.  Transport to and from school will be either walking/cycling, public transport or by car.  All families have been inspected for suitability and compliance with safeguarding requirements.

The enrolment of visiting students is managed by our partner organisation – The Lewis School of English.  For further information please contact:
