Class 6 rounded off an unforgettable year with a much anticipated adventure to Avon Tyrrell — a week of challenge, connection, and fun in the heart of the New Forest.
They set off by bicycle from the back of the school, joining the Castleman Trailway and cycling through woodlands and open trails to reach their destination. Having completed their Level 1 and 2 Bikeability training earlier in the term, the children were well prepared — confident on the road, excited for the journey, and ready for what lay ahead.
The week was packed with outdoor adventures: abseiling, archery, high and low ropes, the tree top trail, canoeing, pioneering, and night orienteering. Free moments were filled with cycling, group games, and relaxed time together.
Evenings were spent around the campfire, sharing stories, sipping hot chocolate, and toasting marshmallows. A fantastic team of parents supported the class throughout the trip, preparing and cooking all meals — a true expression of the school’s collaborative spirit.
The trip marks an important milestone in their school journey, offering space for friendships to deepen, confidence to grow, and the children to rise to new challenges together. From facing fears to supporting one another, Class 6 showed resilience, joy, and a powerful sense of togetherness — a fitting way to close their year.
