Ringwood Waldorf School has always felt like a home to me. I first attended from Kindergarten to Year 3, and after trying a few other schools, I returned to Ringwood Waldorf School to finish my GCSEs. I loved Steiner education. It was unique. It was magical. It was supportive. It was a home from home. My memories of kindergarten are filled with warmth—the vibrant colours, the natural architecture, and the overall sense of being connected to nature. This atmosphere deeply resonated with Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, which I believe is reflected beautifully in the school’s design and approach to learning.
Throughout my life, I’ve explored a variety of educational environments, but I was always drawn back to the nurturing, creative atmosphere at Ringwood Waldorf School. The connection to nature and the freedom to explore creatively shaped my adult path. It also helped me learn to trust my innate sense of who I am and my meaningful purpose in the world. From pursuing Parkour professionally to discovering a passion for regenerative living, the values I developed at Ringwood Waldorf School have stayed with me.
Now, as I work on environmental projects across the globe, including in Kenya and the UK, I see the lasting influence Ringwood Waldorf School had on me. The supportive, nature-focused environment and creative freedom I experienced there have been key in guiding me toward the work I do today, and I’ll always be grateful for that foundation.
