The Steiner Waldorf curriculum offers a robust and well-rounded education, allowing students to easily transfer to the further education they choose. As a school, we have excellent links with Further Education Schools and Colleges in the wide local area. We offer GCSE English and Maths to those pupils who want to take them but these are not compulsory as passing exams is not the priority.
Our students are all able to access their chosen career paths - nothing seems to stop them! Many students go on to study for A-levels, BTEC courses, specialist courses and a wide range of University degree courses. We support students on a one-to-one basis to make their applications and to prepare for interviews.
Though your child may 'know' what they want to do or be by the time they are 9 or 10 years old, (the time they are usually expected to start thinking about their GCSE choices) in our years of experience, by the time they are 16 or 17 they will have an entirely different experience of who they are. The Steiner-Waldorf curriculum has been developed purposefully to allow this and the feedback we have from Universities and Colleges is that they often make exceptional and confident students in higher education.
We are happy to answer any of your concerns and questions - contact the school office by email or phone.
